Toolmaker comments show how out of touch Starmer is. Toolmakers are the top of the tree of skilled craftsmen, the intelligent skilled people who make and maintain the machines that make things. The sort of people whose children get comfortable well paid white collar jobs. Fewer of them needed now that computer controlled machines have largely taken over manufacturing. Russian arms manufacturing depends on European CNC machinery after the skilled craftsmen died off in the collapse of the industry with the fall of USSR. Kamil Galeev explains it well and in great detail. https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1802801229149462785.html

Oops, enter key posts! 'In 2004 the German national football team was invited to Azadi Stadium in Teheran for a friendly game against Iran’s national team. While the German anthem was being played before the game, a large number of Iranians collectively greeted their German guests by performing the Nazi salute. Although this display of naiveté came as a shock to millions of viewers on live German TV, it should not come as a surprise in light of Nazi Germany’s historical propagandist involvement in Iran.'

Hope not Hate are crowing about resurrecting contempt prosecution of Tommy Robinson (no official confirmation yet but also mentioned in Standard). Scheduled for two days after 27th July event in Trafalgar Square (surprise!). JD would explain that HnH are a 77th Brigade cut out, likely true this time.
